Adobe Camera Raw Color Versions of Yesterday’s B&W Images

I am still experimenting with this Adobe Camera Raw workflow and may be using it more in the future in lieu of creating HDR versions using the entire three frame bracket sets.

Scenes From The Ohio River Bridges Project First Workday of 2015

The Ohio River Bridges Project resumed work on Monday January 5, 2015. Even though the weather was frigid I went out shoot the Ohio River Bridges Project first workday of 2015. I was only out there for a couple of hours unlike the construction workers who spent the entire day in the cold.

This weekend I decided to return to some images I shot last summer at Old Taylor Distillery. I felt that I had grown greatly in my skills with NIK HDR eFex Pro 2 and wanted to see if I might improve on my earlier versions. I also wanted to make some corrections to the lens distortion with Photoshop CS5. I’m better satisfied with them after this round of processing and feel that I’ve learned a lot from going through this exercise. Just like using the camera requires constant practice to master it; using post processing software requires practice to become proficient. It all comes back to my manta “Practice, Practice, Practice” the more a photographer uses the tools of his/her craft the better he/she becomes.

Another iRobots Variation

iRobots #3

Once I got started with these composite images I couldn’t stop trying more versions. In this case there are eight frames combined into one image. The patterns created by merging these images create their own faces within faces as the stains on the floor join together.

iRobots Revisited

iRobot Eyes

I couldn’t resist merging more frames of the iRobots image from a few weeks back. I started playing with various combinations and came up with this one which feels very anthropomorphic.
