Another evening after a thunderstorm moved through Louisville. I composed the image with the trees in silhouette in order to frame the scene and emphasize the sunset and the light on the river. The sky was very dramatic and I enhanced the colors of the sunset to add more drama to the scene. This image was also processed in NIK HDR Efex Pro and finished in Aperture 3.
Love the pic. Getting a page not found error when I tried to comment. Loveing my new camera… more pics to come! By the way, did I tell you I have a friend with a telescope with a 25 inch mirror! I can’t wait to see what I can capture with that! He even has a friend to teach me how to do it right! Hope you are well and I really hope to see you at Bonneville next year! I will not be in a red shirt….but I will have my camera! Bob
Thanks Bob I hope to be back there at BUB this year.
Yet another great capture that’s places you behind the lens as you become one with the image.
BTW, a HD Road Glide is a great way to thoroughly experience the countryside around you.
Phyllis thanks for the wonderful comment. BTW you must be a motorcycle enthusiast too if you know about HD Road Glides.
Very nice shot! You sure do have some dramatic skies in Louisville. I had no problem in seeing this page via your direct link, but it doesn’t work on the photo forum sites.
Thank you for your comment. I must have broken the link last night when I went back in and edited this post.
As for our skies here in Louisville I watch the weather closely as sunset approaches and if it looks promising I head down to the river to see what develops.
