Yesterday morning was one of those mornings where getting up early really paid off. The temperature was 19 degrees with snow showers moving in from the west just before sunrise. The combination of the weather front and the cold temperature made for an incredible display of color as the sun rose.In this image there was also an additional light source of construction lights on the left which cast an eerie glow on the Ironworker preparing to start work.

I shot a three frame bracket set at +2, 0 and -2 EV which I merged in NIK HDR Efex Pro 2 to create my base HDR image. I started with the Balanced preset and made some adjustments to the detail and depth sliders before returning the image to Aperture 3 for adjustment of the color channels, mid contrast, sharpness and a small vignette.
